Dolphin Research Center
East Woods students in Sixth-Eighth Grade are offered the opportunity to spend a week at the Dolphin Research Center.
DolphinLab is a seven-day program that studies the marine environment and related issues. Students meet DRC's resident dolphin population, learning to respect each dolphin as an individual through observation of their unique behavioral and physical characteristics. The course includes a unique blend of seminars, observation time and hands-on activities. It proves that learning can be fun! Class size averages twelve to fourteen students. Since space is limited, placement is offered on a first come first serve basis.
*Please note that 8th Grade students will be given first priority. Sign-up begins in October of each year. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 (made out to East Woods school) is required to hold your child's place. Contact Laura Sacco if you are interested.
