Parents Visiting Day

PVD-2022
Laura Sacco

What could be more delightful than spending a day at East Woods with your child? Perhaps spending the day at East Woods and then getting to play against the JV and Varsity teams!

On Tuesday, November 5th, parents joined their students for the special tradition of Parents Visiting Day. The day was brimming with smiles, learning, and a bit of healthy competition. The parents of our students began the morning with a light breakfast, followed by select student performances, before heading into the classrooms to walk in their children's footsteps.

This year, we were treated to select student performances, including a preview of our Winter Concert as the Advanced Band performed and a peek at this year's Broadway Bound play Grease, set to perform on January 24th and 25th for the community. Of course, we must remember the traditional Kindergarten meteorology report before the performances.

As always, our teachers went out of their way to create fun and engaging crafts and lessons for students and parents during the classroom visits. Teachers can convey important information about their teaching and how well the students learn. The day wraps up with a BBQ and soccer games for our Upper School students and visitors. (We, of course, root for our students!)
