From Local Exhibitions to Louvre Walls
Meet Nataly, an East Woods 8th Grade student who has established herself as a challenging presence in the international art scene through recent competitions. Though she started painting as a child in China, her artistic passion began at The Da Vinci Art Center in Queens two years ago. When asked what motivates her to paint, she responded, "I just love painting."
Before she took on global competitions, The Da Vinci Art Center showcased her work in local exhibitions. Her international successes now include top prizes in Italy and France, an Excellence Award in Japan, and a gold award at the 2024 Global Youth Calligraphy and Painting Artist Works Competition. This honor secured her a spot in an exhibition at the Louvre Museum in France with her piece titled 'The Journey of Healing on Earth.' Most recently, she earned a prestigious award in the United Kingdom, becoming the sole youth winner in that category.
As this eighth grader continues to accumulate international awards, one thing is sure: Nataly's artistic journey has only just begun.
