Empowering Students with Essential Internet Safety Skills
Zachary Warriner, a Missing Persons Investigative Specialist role with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, recently conducted a special presentation titled "Internet Safety: Be Smart, Be Safe, and Rules to Follow Online" for East Woods School students in grades 3 through 8. During the session, Mr. Warriner addressed essential topics to enhance students' online safety. He covered precautions for using social media platforms, the impact of cyberbullying, the concept of digital footprints, and strategies for responding to online stranger interactions.
Equipping students with the knowledge and tools to navigate the digital landscape safely is crucial. By fostering awareness and promoting safe online practices, East Woods School continues to prioritize the well-being of its students. The students had great questions and insights during the presentation, and we extend our gratitude to Zachary Warriner for sharing his expertise and empowering our students with essential internet safety skills.
