Veterans have made the ultimate sacrifice forfeiting safety and stability for our freedom. In honor of Veteran’s Day and the upcoming holiday season, the Third Grade class (and some of their parents!) are showing their gratitude by writing letters. First, the class learned about the five branches of the U.S. Military and the history and importance of Veteran’s Day. Next, the class brainstormed ideas we wished to convey to the brave men and women who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. These thoughtful letters are special; each is unique and full of artistic touch. We will be sending our letters to both the Northport VA Medical Center and Operation Gratitude, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and the active military.
