Laura Sacco

Today, Laura Kang paid tribute to Anne Kraft Thompson for her remarkable commitment to East Woods School. Anne is an esteemed alumna who graduated from East Woods in 1970. After completing her college education in 1977, she returned as a faculty member, teaching second and third grade. Following a decade of service, she took a break to raise her family and rejoined the school in 1999. Since then, she has primarily worked in the Pre-Nursery classroom, accumulating approximately 33 years of dedicated service to East Woods.

Throughout her tenure, Anne has profoundly impacted numerous generations of students. Many children have had the privilege of experiencing her influential teaching as their initial introduction to education, benefiting from her nurturing guidance that set them on a path to educational success.

Our art teacher Tim Daly has created a commemorative plaque to honor Mrs. Thompson and express our gratitude for her lifelong commitment to our school. This plaque will be proudly displayed in the Pre-Nursery wing, symbolizing and commemorating Anne's immense contributions to the lives of all the students she has impacted. It serves as a testament to her unwavering dedication to our school community.
