EWS' Fourth and Fifth Grade Lego Robotics teams competed against approximately 50 teams at the SBPLI Long Island FLL Championship Tournament on Sunday, February 28 at Longwood High School. The competition was an amazing success. There were robot performance competitions, design competitions, teamwork analysis meetings, and research presentations. The Fifth Grade team placed in the top 20 and won an award for Outstanding Robot Programming. The Fourth Grade team competed well and received an award for Outstanding Teamwork.

At this time, the teams are awaiting results as to which teams will advance to the State Championship round.

The Fifth Grade team members include Will Benjamin, Alex Oruci, Florian Michael Schwarzinger, and Ryan Kliger. The Fourth Grade team members include Weldon Hauser, Erik Zetterstrom, Colin Brennan, Benjamin Hefter, and Cooper Ruthven.
