Early Childhood Center

Dear Friends,

The East Woods Early Childhood Center is a vibrant wing where fun and learning go hand in hand. I have had the pleasure to witness this for over twenty-five years! Two-year-olds to five-year-olds are so excited to be at school they don't want to leave. The gorgeous grounds and warm teachers make every child feel welcomed. Facts about birds, fish, castles, the planets, and so much more are taught in such a fun way the children can't help but be excited by it! The Early Childhood Center (ECC) is truly a joyful place where the youngest members of the East Woods community are nurtured and prepared for the rigorous academic career ahead of them.

The ECC consists of Pre-Nursery, Nursery, and Pre-Kindergarten.  Our half-day Monday-Friday program fosters young children's social, emotional, physical, creative, and cognitive development. With small class sizes, personal attention, and a rich thematic curriculum, skillful and experienced teachers instill a love of learning and help the children develop strong foundational skills that will prepare them for future academic endeavors. ECC students attend library, music, physical education, and Spanish classes weekly. Our Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten students also have the opportunity to use our state-of-the-art science lab throughout the year.

Whether you are a current parent seeking the latest news or a prospective parent just learning about East Woods, I welcome you to explore this site to learn more detailed information about our curriculum and program. Welcome to East Woods!

The Early Childhood Center, which is a pre-school for students in Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten, addresses the social, emotional, physical, creative, and intellectual development of young children. Storytelling and role-playing stimulate a child’s natural curiosity while educational games develop the building blocks for vital studies. Ultimately, the program aims to make children happy, curious, and eager to learn.
