Father’s Visiting Day was a big hit this year. In connection with their study of communities, the Second Grade students created “CartonTown.” Using boxes of different shapes and sizes, the students, with the help of their dads, created their own town. The students built a school, Town Hall, a bank, an ice cream shop, restaurants, and a post office, to name a few of the buildings. They also added houses, roads, a playground, and trees to make the town more realistic. Father’s Visiting Day was a memorable day for all. |
