As part of the study of vertebrates, first graders were challenged with the task of re-assembling chicken skeletons, using the bones they previously collected in Part 1 of this three-part lab.  They were given the option of creating a 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional replica and used visual diagrams of both human and chicken skeletons, which they color-coded to aid in their reconstruction.
