The Third Graders lead the student body of East Woods on a Walk-a-Thon to support a very worthwhile cause, the publication of a book entitled, Helping to Heal, by Patti Wood. According to Dr. Horvath, a pediatric oncologist, “Helping to Heal is a great resource, guide, and companion for parents caring for children who are ill. It is a comprehensive guide for creating a safe environment that enhances the healing process.” Each child and teacher wore something pink to show support for those children recovering from cancer. |
