On Friday, March 4 the Upper School students presented Hello, Dolly-- The story of Dolly Gallagher Levi, a matchmaker who sets out to marry Horace Vandergelder, a successful businessman and her top client from Yonkers.
Hello, Dolly provided the Upper School students with many classic show tunes to perform, such as "Put on your Sunday Clothes", "Before the Parade Passes By", "Elegance", and of course, the title song "Hello, Dolly". The actors, dancers, and ensemble cast were incredibly charming and captivated the audience at each performance. The pit band, led by Mr. O., was comparable to any professionals you would hear at a Broadway show! The sets made the stage come to life and complemented the students' dancing and singing.
The director, Ms. Maniello, with the help of Ms. Ucci’s awesome set design, Mr. O, for music direction, Mr. Knight for sets and audio, The Hefters, for sound and lighting, and all of the students, faculty, and parents' hard work, created an unforgettable show for all! |
