| | Every year, East Woods students embark on a scientific exploration which culminates at the Annual Science Symposium. Students in Nursery though Fourth Grade conduct scientific experiments designed to enrich and reinforce curriculum learning. Their class projects can be found on display in the main hall of the school. Upper School students are challenged to create a science project and to present the findings on a display board that will be exhibited for the symposium. Students are given the opportunity to give a five-minute presentation on her or his project entry to a panel of scientists from the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. On Tuesday, February 8, the CSH scientists judged each student based on the layout, content and creativity of their display board and the quality of their oral presentation.
