The Fifth Grade performed The Greatest Americans of the 20th Century Friday, December 11. The play is set as a television awards show for some of the greatest Americans of the 20th century. Louis Armstrong, Henry Ford, Eleanor Roosevelt (along with Teddy and Franklin D.), Martin Luther King, the Wright Brothers, the Babes (Ruth and Didrikson), Andy Warhol and Georgia O'Keefe all grace the stage. Although Amelia Earhart was nowhere to be found, the play would not have been complete without quirky Ernest Hemmingway. The clever play was full of great songs like, Rosa Parks Stay in your Seat, I Paint Flowers, They Call Me Babe, and the unexpected rap, Assembly Line, by Henry Ford!
