On Saturday, May 31st, East Woods over eighty alums from the 1950s gathered for a reunion lunch at the school. Alums returning to East Woods hailed from far corners of the United States, including as far as Hawaii. When they arrived at East Woods, the alums were greeted by current East Woods Upper School students, who volunteered their time to give tours of the school. Following the tours, alums sat in the Old Gym to reminisce and enjoy a buffet lunch prepared by the East Woods dining staff. The 2008 James E. Gay III Alumni/ae Awards were presented by Wendy de Clairville Kemper '54 and Basil Cox '55 to Joanie Callaway Pratt '54 and Chet Crocker '55. The reunion festivities following the lunch included visits to Caumsett State Park, a dinner at the Huntington Country Club and breakfast on Sunday, June 1st at the Cold Spring Harbor Beach Club.
