  • to expose the students to customs and manners of Spanish speaking people
  • to gain actual knowledge about the countries where this language is spoken and the people who speak it
  • to heighten students’ appreciation and respect for cultural diversity and sharpen their cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • to develop interdisciplinary skills by linking foreign language study with language arts, social studies, science and math
  • to practice new vocabulary through different activities such as pair dialogues, skits, songs and games
